Hospitality SEO agency

Hospitality SEO that brings guests to your own website

Google's research with Ipsos across 10 countries found that just over half of travellers (53%) turn to Google Search regularly for travel content[1]. We fix what stops hotel, resort and restaurant websites ranking, build the local and destination pages guests look for, and report the results as enquiries and bookings.

Search in 2026

Google still sends the guest, and AI answers now sit on top.

Most stays, and plenty of meals out, still begin with a search. What appears above the blue links has changed. Google's AI Overviews now reach upwards of 2 billion users a month in 40 languages[2], and AI Mode, its conversational search, is now open in over 200 countries and territories[3].

For a property owner, the useful part is in Google's own guidance. To be cited as a link in AI Overviews or AI Mode, a page has to be indexed and eligible to appear in normal results with a snippet, and nothing extra is required[4]. Good SEO is therefore the entry ticket to AI search as well. A slow, thin or hard-to-crawl website misses out on both, and the guest books through an OTA that takes 15–30% of the booking value in commission[5].

Hotel website ranking in Google search results

Hotels, resorts and restaurants are searched for differently

Hotel guests tend to search by destination, dates and landmark. Resort guests search by experience: a pool villa, an Ayurveda programme, a jungle safari. Diners search by cuisine and 'near me'. We plan keywords and pages around how your guests decide, instead of running one generic checklist.

Local rankings follow their own rules

Google ranks local results mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and says nobody can pay for a better local ranking[6]. A verified, complete Business Profile with recent photos and replies to reviews is the part you control, so that is where we start.

Enquiries and bookings are the scoreboard

A page-one ranking that brings no enquiries pays for nothing. We track calls, WhatsApp chats, forms and booking-engine visits from organic search, by landing page, so you can see which pages earn their keep and which need work.

What changes when Fielmente runs your SEO.

Without it

  • Room, menu and offer pages that Google struggles to crawl or index
  • A Business Profile with old photos, wrong hours and unanswered reviews
  • Blog posts written for keywords that never lead to a booking
  • Reports full of rankings and sessions, with no line to revenue

With Fielmente

  • A fast, crawlable site where every room, package and venue page can rank
  • Verified, complete listings built to compete in the local map results
  • Destination, experience and event pages that answer what guests ask before they book
  • Monthly reporting on organic enquiries, booking-engine visits and AI referrals

Proof

Our proof, and what it shows.

Our published case studies are Google Ads results, not SEO results. They're here because they show how we work on any channel: every enquiry tracked to its source, and decisions made on enquiries and conversion rates rather than clicks. Your SEO reporting follows the same discipline.

Technical SEO

Six technical problems we find on most booking websites.

Hotel sites share a handful of technical faults that quietly cost rankings and bookings. These are the ones we check first.

AreaCommon problem on hotel sitesWhat we fix
Booking engine hand-offThe booking engine runs on a separate domain, so analytics loses the visitor at the 'Book now' click and organic bookings show up as referrals.Cross-domain tracking and booking-engine events, so every organic booking is credited to search.
Date and rate URLsEach date or filter search creates a new URL, and Google spends its crawl on thousands of near-identical pages.Parameter rules, canonical tags and internal links that point Google at the pages that sell.
Mobile speedFull-screen sliders, uncompressed photos and chat widgets load before rates and room details.Compressed images, deferred scripts and layouts that show rooms and prices quickly on a mobile connection.
Indexing hygieneExpired offers still live, staging sites indexed, or key pages blocked in robots.txt.A clean sitemap, redirects for retired packages and only live, bookable pages in the index.
Copied descriptionsRoom text pasted from OTA listings, or the same paragraph repeated on every room page.Original copy for each room type, so Google has a reason to rank your page above the OTA's.
Groups and languagesSeveral properties squeezed onto one domain without structure, or translations published without hreflang tags.A clear site structure that lets each property and each language rank for its own searches.

Fixes depend on your platform. A WordPress site, a custom build and an Eazotel CMS site each need a different approach, and we confirm what your developer or host can change before we start.

Content, schema and AI search

Pages that rank in Google and get quoted in AI answers.

Content is what Google ranks and what AI tools quote. Structured data adds explicit clues about what each page means[7], while the words on the page do most of the work.

Destination and things-to-do guides

Pages on the treks, beaches, temples, festivals and day trips near you, written from local knowledge. They reach guests early in planning and point them to the rooms that suit each trip.

Room, villa and package pages

One page per room type or package, with original copy, real photos, sizes, views and inclusions, so each one can rank for its own searches.

Restaurant, bar and menu pages

Menus published as text rather than PDFs, with cuisine, dietary notes, opening hours and a tracked reservation link.

Schema for hotels and restaurants

Hotel, Restaurant, Offer and Event markup in JSON-LD, the format Google recommends as easiest to maintain[7], kept in line with your Business Profile.

Answers to the questions guests ask

Parking, pets, child policy, check-in times, transfers and accessibility, answered plainly on the page. Guests find what they need, and AI answers have accurate facts to quote.

AI search without gimmicks

Google says no special schema or AI text file is needed for AI Overviews or AI Mode[4], and ChatGPT search only includes sites that let OpenAI's crawler in[8]. We check access and accuracy instead of selling shortcuts.

Local SEO

Winning the map results for rooms and tables.

For a restaurant, the map results are often the whole contest: a diner picks from the few places Google shows nearby. For a hotel, they decide who gets the call when someone searches a town, a lake or a temple. Google ranks these results on relevance, distance and prominence[6]. You can't move your building, so we work on the other two.

That means a verified profile in the right primary category, accurate hours for the restaurant and spa, real and recent photos, identical name, address and phone details on every directory, and a steady flow of reviews with replies. Google itself says complete information, photos and replies to reviews help a business stand out[6].

  • Separate, correctly categorised profiles for in-house restaurants and spas where Google's guidelines allow
  • Citations on travel, food and local directories under one consistent business name
  • Review requests timed for after checkout or the meal, with replies in your brand voice
  • Monthly photo and post updates for offers, events and seasonal menus

How it works

How an SEO engagement runs.

SEO compounds slowly. The first weeks remove what blocks growth; the following months build the pages and signals that earn it.

  1. Weeks 1–2

    Crawl, audit and baseline

A full site crawl, a Search Console and analytics review, a Business Profile check and a look at how AI answers describe you today. We record your starting level of organic enquiries.

  2. Weeks 3–6

    Fix the foundations

Indexing errors, page speed, duplicate room pages, broken booking-engine tracking and missing structured data, fixed in order of impact.

  3. Months 2–4

    Build what guests search for

Room, package, venue, menu and destination pages, plus citations and review replies, published to a monthly calendar you approve.

  4. Month 4 onwards

    Measure and expand

Monthly reports on organic enquiries, bookings and AI referrals, with the next quarter's pages chosen from what is already converting.

How long does hotel SEO take to show results?

Technical fixes can show within weeks, once Google recrawls the site. New pages and local rankings usually take several months to settle, and competitive destination searches take longer. Your plan sets expectations for each group of keywords, and we track organic enquiries from the first month so you can see the direction early.

Is SEO still worth it now that Google shows AI answers?

Yes, because the two are connected. Google says the pages it links to from AI Overviews and AI Mode must be indexed and eligible for normal results. A well-built, well-ranked website is the material those answers are drawn from. What changes is measurement: simple questions may send fewer clicks, so pages that answer detailed, booking-stage questions matter more.

Do you handle SEO for restaurants and cafés too?

Yes. Restaurant SEO leans heavily on local search: the Business Profile, text menus, cuisine and neighbourhood terms, and tracked reservations. A hotel restaurant often deserves its own page and profile so it can rank for diners who aren't staying with you.

Can you work on our current website, or do we need a new one?

Usually we work with what you have. We need access to the CMS, Search Console, analytics and your Business Profile. If the platform blocks basic changes, such as editing page titles or adding structured data, we'll set out the cost and benefit of a rebuild before recommending one.

Should our website room descriptions match our OTA listings?

Keep the facts identical and write the words separately. When your site repeats your Booking.com text, Google has little reason to rank your page above the OTA's for your own name. We write original room and package copy and keep amenities, policies and prices aligned everywhere.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. Nobody controls Google's rankings, and Google states that no one can pay for a better local position. We commit to the work, the timeline and open reporting, and we judge success by organic enquiries and bookings.

What does your monthly SEO report include?

Organic sessions, enquiries by type (call, WhatsApp, form and booking-engine visit), top landing pages, Business Profile actions and visits from AI assistants. Rankings appear as supporting context; the headline numbers are enquiries and bookings.

We have several properties. Should each have its own website?

It depends on your brand. A group site with strong individual property sections works well for a family of similar hotels; separate sites suit properties with distinct brands. Either way, each property needs its own Business Profile, schema and location content.

What access and information do you need from us?

Logins for your website, Search Console, Google Analytics and Business Profile, plus booking-engine access for tracking. A short call with your GM or sales head tells us which rooms, packages and dates matter most, so the first pages we build are the ones that sell.
